This bead has a wide, 1-1/8-in. chamfer profile that gives each outside corner two defined edges. This softens the look of the drywall, and adds a nice shadowline at each corner and a bit of extra detail throughout the house.
Installation starts with clean cuts on the drywall at each corner. It’s recommended to spray both the corner bead and the drywall with light coats of Trim-Tex’s 847 Spray Adhesive, and then staple the corner bead every 6 in. to 8 in. The corner is then finished with two or three coats of joint compound. If you can’t get your hands on a can of adhesive spray, as was the case on this job, just use more staples, applying them every 2 in. to 3 in. Spray-and-staple installation means no drywall cracks, and that means no callbacks.
